Baku City Residences took part in a recent meeting held for key public and private stakeholders on the eve of the COP29 Conference.
The round table on "Sustainable Built Environment in Azerbaijan" aimed to create a collaborative platform by bringing together local construction companies, construction-production enterprises, foreign companies, experts, and state representatives. The discussion focused on transitioning to sustainable and zero-carbon construction, considering the environmental impact of construction sites. Topics covered included international opportunities for decarbonisation, the environmental benefits of using low-emission building materials, potential challenges in this transition, and past and planned actions for sustainable development and combating climate change.
Additionally, the meeting highlighted the repair, restoration, and reconstruction efforts by construction companies in Karabakh and East Zangezur, commending their work in these regions.
The event concluded with the signing of a declaration on "Sustainable Built Environment in Azerbaijan," which outlines the commitment to achieving global decarbonization goals.
